Never wanting to return to the Underland after his last adventure, Gregor has no choice when his little sister, Boots, gets snatched by giant Underland cockroaches. Once back in the kingdom of Regalia, Gregor learns of "The Prophecy of Bane" which predicts that the rats will stop at nothing to kill Boots and protect their new leader, the Bane, from Gregor. With Boots in mortal danger, Gregor embarks upon a quest to kill the Bane and save his sister.
In the second book of the series, Suzanne Collins has done it again. Writing an excellent book that keeps the mind ensnared for hours, this book is appropriate for those of the age of twelve or older.
