In high school, Amanda and Dawson fell in love in the small town in which they lived in.  They helped each other through all of the difficult times throughout their lives.  Dawson with his abusive and violent family, and Amanda with her family, looking down upon Dawson because of the history of his family.  But they do not see how their relationship could make it pass high school, so they go their own separate ways.  After many years, a funeral of an old friend brings them together, and they try to rekindle the love that was there before.

People who would enjoy this are people who enjoy romance novels.  Little kids would not like this book because there is mature content and it may be difficult for them to understand.
