This is a book about a teenage boy named Stanley Yelnats.  Stanley gets sent to a juvenile detention camp for a crime that he didn't commit.  He goes through harsh weather and hard work digging holes all day, but as time goes on, Stanley finds out that they aren't digging for no good reason.  He and his friend Zero go through a lot to solve this mystery.

This book tells a great story, that many would be interested in to read.  It's more targeted to young teenagers or even highschoolers.  Kids would like this book because they could put themselves in the shoes of the characters or may have been in the same situation before.  Adults may like this book as well but they may not because it's more of a "children's book" or they just don't like this sort of genre.
