Look for Alaska is a young adult novel full of the explorations and curiosities of the teenage mind. The protagonist, Miles Halter (later nicknamed Pudge) is quite the average teenager, with the exception of his boredom at his high school. Miles requests that he transfer to a boarding school for his junior year, and his parents oblige, giving him permission to begin an entire school year full of adventure. When Miles arrives at the school he is met by some strange characters. The relationship between the characters grow and bend, especially because Alaska has a boyfriend back home, leaving Miles discouraged, yet not entirely hopeless.

I would recommend this book to anyone my age that likes adventure novels and appreciates a laugh. While some parts of the book are quite serious, it has lighter chapters that will definitely make you smile.
