If you like suspense and or thriller, then The Last Thing I Remember is the perfect book for you. This is the first book in Klavan's Homelanders series. In this book you look at the world through the eyes of a teenage boy who doesn't remember anything except what he thinks is the day before where he had given a karate demonstration in front of his entire school. After falling a sleep in his bed, he wakes up in a chair bloody with strange tools next to him on a table. He then makes several attempts to break free and escape.

Will he remember why he was kidnapped? Will he remember anything important to his current situation? Read the book found in your school's library to find out.
