Anyone interested in history or the Native American culture would enjoy this book. Sing Down the Moon is about a young Navajo girl named Bright Morning. She and her friend Running Bird get taken by slavers while they are grazing their sheep. Immediately, Bright Morning plans her escape. Eventually, she makes it out and back to her home only to find that the Spaniards have changed life for all Indians.
